About This Jigsaw Puzzle
A loaded competition barbell rests on a raised wooden platform, its green and orange weight plates stacked symmetrically on either side of a gray metal bar. The pastel blue and pink background gives the setting a clean, arena-quality look that highlights the power and precision of competitive powerlifting. The platform is empty and ready for the next attempt.
Coloring Tips
Paint the weight plates in alternating green and orange using the fill tool to make the barbell look competition-official. The gray metal bar should be a cool steel gray, and the warm brown wooden platform grounds the whole composition.
Common Questions
What are the two Olympic weightlifting events?
Olympic weightlifting includes the snatch and the clean and jerk. In the snatch, athletes lift the barbell from the floor to overhead in one continuous movement. In the clean and jerk, athletes first lift to the shoulders (clean) then press overhead (jerk).
What do the different colors of competition weight plates mean?
International Weightlifting Federation color standards specify: red for 25 kg, blue for 20 kg, yellow for 15 kg, green for 10 kg, white for 5 kg, and black for 2.5 kg and smaller. This color system allows coaches to quickly calculate total bar weight.
How do I paint the green and orange weight plates to look three-dimensional?
Fill each plate in its base color, then use dark spray on the inner edge and lighter spray near the outer rim to suggest a rounded disc shape. Adding a subtle shadow where the plates meet the bar improves realism.
