About This Jigsaw Puzzle
Two wrestlers lock together at the center of a circular yellow and red competition mat set on the brown floor of a professional indoor sports hall. Blue walls surround the arena and spectator stairs rise on one side. The concentric circles of the mat and the intense physical engagement of the athletes create a dramatic, focused competitive atmosphere.
Coloring Tips
Fill the circular mat in bold yellow for the outer ring and vivid red for the inner circle, keeping the colors crisp and distinct. Blue walls behind the mat create strong contrast with the warm yellows and reds of the scene.
Common Questions
What are the two main styles of wrestling in the Olympics?
The Olympic wrestling program includes freestyle wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestling. In freestyle, wrestlers can use their legs for offense and defense and can hold below the waist. In Greco-Roman, all holds below the waist are prohibited and wrestlers must use only upper body techniques.
How is a wrestling match scored?
Wrestlers score points for takedowns (2 points), reversals (1 point), exposure (2 or 3 points for turning the opponent's back to the mat), and out-of-bounds pushes (1 point). A pin or technical superiority by 10 points ends the match early.
How do I make the circular wrestling mat look accurate in the coloring phase?
Start with a yellow fill across the entire mat circle, then use red fill for the inner scoring circles, keeping the rings concentric. The brush tool is best for the ring edges to keep them clean and circular.
